The mountainous relief prevails, the height differences are very sharp. It is especially advised to explore the valley of the Kintrishi River at the place where it flows into the sea. Gonio

The correct answer to the question of what to see in Batumi is primarily for beach lovers. The resort village is located 10 kilometers south of the capital of the region; the water is cleaner there, but there is no difference in the appearance of the coast. Mostly couples rest in Gonio. The length of the beach strip is 2000 meters, up to 50% of which is accompanied by a boulevard.

Most tourists do not like to stay here and choose to rest in Batumi. From there, the journey takes only 20 minutes. Why not? Bad hotels, food is not for everyone (very fatty dishes), not all goods are in stores. In the reviews, many emphasize the proximity to the road.

Nevertheless, we include this place in our rating of interesting places where it is worth spending the whole day with the whole family.

Sarpi

If you can devote more time to beach leisure, then this site, located 20 kilometers south of the Batumi line, is quite suitable. The bottom is visible at 3 - 4 meters. Optimal seasons are June and September.

Mtirala

Another national park that stands out even by the standards of Mountainous Adjara. Literally translated, this name means "weeping mountain". A special microclimate with extreme humidity allows growing on the slopes of "almost tropical" jungle. Some of the local plants are listed in the Red Book, and you should not pick anything. The area of the reserve reaches 6,000 hectares. Crossing the river on a manually driven trailer costs 1 GEL. Those wishing to touch the extreme pay 15 GEL for a high-altitude attraction. A place in the campsite costs 5 GEL, twice as much is paid for the right to organize a picnic. In the absence of equipment, it will be rented at the entrance.

Rhododendrons, the rarest royal fern, grow on land, and a lot of species of birds, fish and amphibians live. You can see the otter, spotted eagle, frigate, kingfisher, snipe, kestrel.

Advice: Just be sure to bring rubber boots and mosquito spray.

Gobroneti

This Adjarian village is notable for its picturesque beauty. 73 families live there. The road to the east takes 55 kilometers. The height above the sea reaches 800 meters. It was here that the first Adjarian guest house was opened. A visit is recommended in spring, summer and autumn. Tourists can get acquainted with traditional beekeeping and poultry farming, cooking, and go fishing. Weavers, basket makers, winemakers will delight.

Mirveti
